Inspired by Tanzanian artist, Edward Tingatinga, this art is often considered ‘tourist paintings’, geared toward European and American buyers. The imagery depicts heavily-patterned trees and animals filled with dots and dashes, in a stylized format of layered saturated colors, of bicycle paint on Masonite.
